Gather all water bottles and travel mugs and decide what to keep and what to get rid of. We collect a lot of freebies at events and so we have a lot of water bottles that we use once.
Consider finding a new home for the cheap plastic cups you’ve gotten at fast-food restaurants, water bottles that you never use because you don’t like the color or cover, bottles missing the cover or with broken seals, and ones that are difficult to clean.

I have seen people use over-the-door shoe holders for their water bottles and travel mugs, but I don’t have that type of door in my home. My closet doors are all on tracks.

If you can’t bring yourself to get rid of the extra water bottles, you can store them in a big basket or bin on a shelf in a closet or pantry, near enough to the kitchen so that you don’t forget about them.
