Since I do surface cleaning in the bathroom every day, you’d think that there would be nothing to a deep clean. That is so wrong. For example, I do not wipe the light bulbs of dust unless I am doing a deep cleaning or if there’s enough dust on them that it’s almost blocking the light (just kidding, I don’t let it get to that point).

My best tip when it comes to cleaning this type of vanity bathroom light is to make sure the light bulbs are not hot. Spray the cleaner on the rag or paper towel and then wipe each bulb.

You can see a film of dust on the light bulb. Make sure the bulb isn’t hot when you wipe it clean or it could burst (the hot/cold thing on glass).

Another tip:

To keep your mirrors from fogging up, after you clean them, spray on a little shaving foam (not gel) and then buff it until the foam is gone and there are no streaks on the mirror.

I replace the toilet seat about once a year and so I don’t have a build-up of crud around the seat bolts. If you haven’t removed / replaced your toilet seat in a while, now is the time.

New season, new look

Replace hand-held vanity mirror, change curtains, get new towels for a fresh spring look. Roll your hand towels up and put them in a basket near the sink.

Pretty up your bathroom with things from Kohlโ€™s !
