Grouping Appliances
We grouped all appliances together on an unused shelf unit so we could see how many appliances we own. We gathered them from the counter, closet and various cabinets. Then we rated them by how often they were used.
For example, I have a regular blender to make smoothies. But I also have a Bullet to make smoothies. The difference? The blender can make larger batches of smoothies. So the Bullet is used less often and doesn’t get countertop space.
It’s all about convenience
We always wrap cords around an appliance or if removable, store inside the appliance. In our organizing challenge, we used white baskets to hold small parts together with the appliance (on the veggie peeler).
Some appliances remained where they were
I left my big turkey roaster above my cabinets, among the bird houses, baskets and big ceramic urns. My kitchen in the basement has cabinets but they are too shallow for those big pans.
I have an appliance garage but we just emptied it of appliances so that we can put a small TV in it.
We used to have a TV in it years ago. We miss it. We like to have the news/weather on while we prepare dinner.
Look for shelves you can add to your cabinets that will benefit your appliance storage or hide a small TV! Check out these two items on Amazon and search around for other cool storage units.
