Have you ever had an English muffin pizza? I love them! They are very easy to make. Three ingredients plus toppers! One package of English muffins can feed six people if each person gets one muffin cut in half.

ENGLISH MUFFIN PIZZAS

English muffins

Prego Pizza Sauce (or your favorite brand, but Prego is my favorite)

Shredded cheese (I use whatever we have on hand that is already open)

Toppings:

Pepperoni (about 3 pieces per half muffin), chopped ham, cooked crumbled Hamburg, anything goes!

DIRECTIONS

Cut the English muffin in half. Spread about 2 Tablespoons of pizza sauce on each half making sure to reach the ends. Sprinkle shredded cheese on each half, about 2 Tablespoons each. Add your favorite topping. Place directly on middle rack in preheated toaster oven. I use the Toast setting on my Black & Decker toaster oven. Toast until cheese is bubbly. Carefully remove from toaster oven. Let the pizzas cool slightly as the pizza sauce gets very hot and could burn the roof of your mouth. Enjoy!

This is the type of recipe that’s great for when you don’t have time to prepare meat, potatoes, and vegetable meals. Total time to make an English muffin pizza from construction to taking out of toaster oven is a little over 10 minutes! It’s also great for a late night snack, just like I did the other night!

I love a garlicky pizza sauce as opposed to a sweet sauce. That goes for any of the tomato-sauce based Italian meals. I use garlic powder on a lot of foods!
