Make-up part 2: What I have in my make-up bag

Yesterday I wrote about the make-up in my mother’s collection of beauty products. Today I’m writing about the make-up products that I use. My mother is 21 years older than me and while she goes for the “dewy” look, I strive for the matte finish.

I ended up with these items in my make-up collection through trial and error and recommendations. I also get persuaded by advertisements to try new products. I like basic stuff. I’ve had favorite products that get discontinued after I’ve gotten accustomed to using them. That’s why I have several different brand types.

The links below are for the products I use that you can get at Walmart, Amazon, and Mary Kay.

I use Aveeno Foaming Cleanser in the shower everyday. https://fave.co/3UEy47O at Walmart

Aveeno products agree with my skin type and don’t feel greasy or too thick. After washing my face, I spread this moisturizer on. It has an SPF of 30 which is important on your face if you want to avoid brown spots from sun damage as you age. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Face Moisturizer Lotion with SPF 30. https://fave.co/3wgeapA at Walmart

I just could never get into colored eye shadows and have always used different shades of brown. My mother does the same! COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 3-Kit Eyeshadow, 110 Shimmering Sands. https://fave.co/3UGo2TO at Walmart

I try a lot of different mascara brands. I hate the mascara that flakes into little specks that get into my eyes. This COVERGIRL Lash Blast Cleantopia Mascara, Extreme Black, is decent and plumps up my eyelashes. https://fave.co/49FouG9 at Walmart

This is my favorite body soap and the scent is fabulous! Dove Moisturizing Soap Bar. https://fave.co/3SJJ7dp at Walmart

I love make-up brushes and I use a lot of them! EcoTools Start the Day Beautifully Kit Makeup Brush Set with Storage Tray, 6 Piece Set. https://fave.co/3wjKdVG at Walmart

EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Makeup Brush Kit, Define, Blend, Smudge, and Shade, 2 Piece Set. https://fave.co/49l5tJd at Walmart

I don’t always use an eyelash curler, but when I do, it’s this one. e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyelash Curler, Curved. https://fave.co/42FS6kd at Walmart

KINGMAS Angled Eyebrow Brush, Eyelash Separator Brow Comb Lash Spoolie Brush, Steel Mascara Comb Makeup Tool

If I’m not using the Aveeno face moisturizer, I use L’Oreal Revitalift. It’s been a favorite of mine for a few years. L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Triple Power Face Moisturizer. https://fave.co/3OL52iW at Walmart

I prefer the liquid eyeliners as opposed to the crayon type. Maybelline All-Day Liquid Eyeliner. https://fave.co/49TYneP at Walmart

This bareMinerals Barepro 16HR Skin-Perfecting Pressed Powder Foundation helps me keep a matte look. It’s also good to drop in my purse and bring with me for a touch up the I’m away from home all day. https://amzn.to/3SXopbh at Amazon

This is my favorite liquid foundation. I’ve been using it for a while now. Milani is one of my favorite brands. Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer – Creamy Vanilla. https://amzn.to/3UJIkf0 at Amazon

Milani Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Matte Setting Powder for All Skin Tones. https://amzn.to/3wauXdx at Amazon

My mother gave me a sample of this mascara that came with some Chanel perfume she ordered through Macy’s. I love it! CHANEL La Volume Mascara. https://amzn.to/3wq6gd7 at Amazon

And my mother and I both love this lipstick! Mary Kayยฎ Supreme Hydrating Lipstick Better Than Bare
