I didn’t know I was going to have a part 2 to my blog post about making a little something for the littles. But while I was out running errands today I stopped into Dollar Tree and saw that the shelves were still full of Valentine’s stuff and as I browsed the shelves I could see that there were many items that I had just mentioned to use in putting together goody bags.
I spent about $20 on the things I used for the goody bags, including a variety of goody bags (cellophane with design, plain cellophane, cloth). There weren’t any gift tags but I got Valentine’s Day greeting cards to go with each goody bag.
I was pleased to see the shelves at Dollar Tree were FULL of Valentine’s stuff! And the store wasn’t busy! Woohoo!
The picture above and the one below are the items I got at Dollar Tree today. I can’t wait to put them into goody bags. Scroll down!
I was happy to find these strawberry hard candies at Dollar Tree. Oh boy, and they are fat free!
I picked up a package of these little airplanes to use as the “gift” in the goody bag. I was excited to put the airplane together to see if it would be worthy of the goody bag. Yes! It was easy to figure out the assembly and fantastic, a hard piece of plastic was included to slip over the nose of the plane to hold the propellers. The nose of a paper airplane is what usually gets ruined first from crashes. I flew this Valentine’s airplane and it crashed and no crumpled nose! Dollar Tree, you surprised me with this toy.
The Wack a Pack Balloons were another awesome surprise at the Dollar Tree store today. The instructions say to smack the pack, watch, and wait while the balloon inflates! I haven’t tried it yet. The package came with four balloon packs and I made four goody bags. I hope they work!
Can you see the nose of the airplane?! It’s a great toy at Dollar Tree.
This last photo shows a little bit of the four goody bags I made with the stuff I bought today at Dollar Tree. Read my post from earlier today (click here: https://livingwithdana.com/2024/02/quick-gifts-to-make-for-the-littles/ )which outlines the same type of goody bag, but I hadn’t bought the Valentine’s stuff yet. I really enjoyed putting this together. I hope you do, too! If you have any questions, you can ask in the comment section.
