Camp Life: The porch

Today was a day for working around camp. The grounds needed to be cleared of fallen branches, pine cones, pine needles, leaves and other stuff dumped by Mother Nature.

And, of course, Mother Nature decided to provide overcast gray skies today. Maine is beautiful and if you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute. Next week we are supposed to hit the 80s or 90s! Woohoo!

I’m looking forward to using the porch as a sleeping porch. I never got to it last summer. My plans are to paint the ceiling, walls, and floor. Then, what do you think of this idea? Using either plastic-lined curtains since it’s a screened porch without windows OR how about show curtain liners on the outside of the curtains?

I’d like to get it painted and curtains up as soon as possible. That’s because I have a plan. I found awesome chair beds online! Some are similar to futons in that they fold out. I’ll be shopping around for this type of extra bed to have at camp.

   

My brother and dad are still outside leaf blowing the grounds. We’ve been here for hours!
