Yesterday is a day to remember: I was finally accepted in the Amazon influencer program! I’ve been in the Associates program for months, but every time I applied for the Influencer program, I got a mysterious message that my Facebook page wasn’t attached to my profile. After googling why this could be happening, especially since my Facebook page has over 3,000 followers/likes, I kept finding the same page in the Google results, but it was kind of a convoluted answer.
Apparently, because my Facebook page was connected to the Meta Business Suite, Amazon was not seeing my Living With Dana page. The convoluted solution was to disconnect the page from Meta. The instructions were clear, but how do you trust someone on the internet who you don’t know? Should I believe that my Facebook page would not disappear or that I would still have access to it?
After several months of getting rejected by the Influencer program, I finally bit the bullet and tried to disconnect my Living With Dana page from the Meta Business Suite. Oh, wait. Now I’m getting an error message that because my Instagram account is linked to my Facebook page, I have to turn my Instagram page into a personal page instead of a Professional/Creator page. Did I dare?
Well, there is no way around it, so I changed my Instagram account to a personal account and then went back in the Meta settings and disconnected Instagram from the account and it worked. So then I removed my Living With Dana page from Meta and THAT worked, too.
I closed my browser, restarted my computer, and applied for the Amazon Influencer program and got accepted! Yay! Woohoo!
The Amazon Influencer program gives you a page on Amazon’s site and Amazon will share my photos and videos if they deem them worthy. I’m just so glad I finally got in the program. I spent some time yesterday adding products to my storefront I’ve purchased and already shared on my blog.
I hope you can take a moment to see what I’m talking about here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/livingwithdana
Let me know what you think! I love the program so far.
Thanks for reading my blog. Have a great day!
