I snapped the handle to the base and then plugged it in to charge. I waited about 5 minutes because I was so anxious to try it. I vacuumed until it lost its charge. So lightweight and the suction was great on the carpet and on the wood floor. I will give a more thorough review after it charges the recommended four hours before first use. LOL.
