These no-rinse shampoo caps are the best invention for those who have difficulty washing their hair in the shower or over a sink. When I was in ICU for 45 days followed by two weeks in rehab to learn to walk again, these no-rinse shampoo caps were a game changer for me. And later when my grandmother went to live in a nursing home because she was not able to walk and couldn’t be left alone all day, my mother bought these no-rinse shampoo caps for her. She loved them and the staff did, too.

There are many brands available. My mother bought six-packs of the caps each time she re-ordered. I never tried heating the cap in the microwave first so I can’t tell you how that turns out.

I suggest putting a towel around your shoulders and have another one handy. Once you have the cap on your head and break the seal by massaging the cap, the encapsulated shampoo will wet your hair enough that you will need a towel to wrap around your head when you are finished massaging/washing your hair.
