Let’s Tackle Those Bathroom Spaces Together!
Hey friends,
I just want to take a moment before we dive into this week’s challenge to say a big, heartfelt thank you. Whether you’ve been here since Week 1 or just recently joined the Challenge 2025: 52-Week Cleaning, Organizing & Decluttering Journey, your support and enthusiasm truly mean the world to me. This community has grown into something so special, and I am so grateful you’re here—taking action, making progress, and cheering each other on as we work toward cleaner, more peaceful homes.
Now, onto Week 27. This week we’re focusing on a space that often gets daily use but rarely receives a deep clean: the bathroom cabinets and countertops.
This Week’s Focus: Deep Clean Bathroom Cabinets & Countertops
Bathrooms are high-traffic, high-humidity areas that can quickly become cluttered and overlooked. This week, we’ll be giving our cabinets, drawers, and counters the attention they deserve—with some practical tips and a few of my favorite tools and products (I’ve added affiliate links where helpful!).
Step-by-Step: How to Deep Clean & Organize Your Bathroom Cabinets & Counters
1. Empty Cabinets and Drawers Completely
Take everything out. Yes, everything. This is the only way to truly see what you have, what you need, and what can go. Lay items on a towel or bin as you sort.
2. Toss the Expired and the Unused
Check expiration dates on medicines, makeup, and skincare products. If it’s expired or you haven’t used it in six months, it’s time to say goodbye.
Tip: Have a small trash bag handy and a box for items to donate or relocate.
3. Wipe Down Every Surface
Use a disinfecting spray or gentle cleaner to thoroughly wipe the inside of cabinets and drawers.
I love using this multi-surface spray and these reusable microfiber cloths for a streak-free finish.

4. Clean Your Countertops and Sinks

Try this bathroom cleaner that cuts through grime and smells amazing.

5. Organize Like a Pro
Use drawer dividers, small bins, or lazy Susans to group items by type: hair products, oral care, skincare, etc. These are some of my go-to organizers.

I like these because they can be used in any drawer that needs organizing! Be sure to measure the depth and width of your drawers first and order accordingly.
