Hey friends!
We’re rolling into Week 29 of our 52-Week Cleaning, Organizing, and Decluttering Challenge, and this week we’re revisiting the bedroom—specifically, the hidden zones under the bed and inside that often chaotic closet. These spaces may be out of sight, but you know the saying… out of sight, out of mind—and sometimes, that’s exactly where the clutter hides!
✔️ This Week’s Focus:
-
Organize under the bed (storage bins, seasonal items, memory boxes, etc.)
-
Vacuum and dust under the bed
-
Declutter and organize your closet space
-
Rotate or clean your mattress (if you haven’t lately!)
🛏️ Let’s Start With Under the Bed
If you haven’t looked under your bed in a while, brace yourself. It might be a museum of dust bunnies, socks that lost their partners, or forgotten gift bags. 😄
Here’s my personal tip: Use clear under-bed storage bins with wheels so you can easily see what’s inside and move them around without heavy lifting. You can store off-season clothes, extra blankets, shoes, or even gift wrap supplies.
✨ Pro tip from the pros: Line the floor under your bed with a washable cotton rug before putting storage bins down. This helps protect your items from dust and makes cleaning a breeze—you just pull out the bins and throw the rug in the wash.

👚 Closet Chaos? Let’s Fix That
Closets can become catchalls so easily. Take 20 minutes to:
-
Pull everything out.
-
Quickly decide: keep, donate, or toss.
-
Only put back what you love or use regularly.
I like to keep a small laundry basket in the closet marked “Donate” and add to it as I go. Once it’s full, out it goes!

✨ Small change, big impact: Matching slim velvet hangers make your closet feel like a boutique. They truly save space and keep clothes from slipping. A simple upgrade, but so satisfying. I also use wooden hangers especially for heavier items and the ones with clips for hanging pants and skirts.

🌀 Don’t Forget the Mattress!
If it’s been six months since you last rotated or flipped your mattress (or longer 😬), now’s a great time. While you’re at it, sprinkle a little baking soda mixed with a drop or two of lavender essential oil, let it sit for 30 minutes, then vacuum it off. It freshens and deodorizes naturally!

🌟 Motivation for the Week
Remember, repetition builds routine. The more often you do these small cleaning tasks, the more second-nature they become. What used to feel overwhelming turns into just another part of your day. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress and peace of mind. 💛
