Week 43 Challenge: Kitchen – Clean & Organize Dish Towels
Let’s be honest for a moment—when was the last time you really looked at your dish towels? I mean really looked at them. Chances are, some of them are a little more “decorative rag” than “kitchen helper.” Dish towels tend to fade, fray, and get that permanent “I’ve seen too many spaghetti nights” look over time.
This week, we’re giving those trusty kitchen towels and cleaning rags some attention.

Your challenge steps:
Sort through your stash. Pull them all out—every drawer, every basket, even the laundry room if you keep extras there.
Replace the worn-out ones. If a towel is faded, holey, or smells like it’s seen better days, it’s time to retire it. Remember, dish towels are inexpensive and can easily be refreshed each season.
Fold and store neatly. The “rag pile” is not a bad thing—just make sure you’re only keeping what’s truly useful. Anything beyond that? Out it goes!
I’ve been eyeing some new storage bins for this very purpose. The ones that stack, are clear, and have front doors that swing open (instead of lids you have to wrestle with). Because honestly, who wants to pull off three bins just to get to the towels at the bottom? Not me!
3-Pack Clear Stackable Storage Bins with Lids, Magnetic Doors, Open Front, Foldable. Amazon affiliate link https://amzn.to/46pl2iY Make sure to browse that Amazon page because it has many different versions of these storage bins. I love them all!

Refreshing this little part of your kitchen feels surprisingly big once it’s done—you’ll love grabbing a clean, crisp towel instead of a ragged one.
✨ Motivational quote of the week:
“Out of clutter, find simplicity.” – Albert Einstein
Next week, we’ll be moving into the living room for Week 44: Organize & Clean Bookshelves. But for now, let’s give those dish towels a glow-up.
As always, I’m so grateful to have you here with me on this journey. You keep me motivated to keep at it too.
xoxo, Dana 💛
