A Quick & Easy DIY Fall Wreath to Welcome the Season

There’s just something about a wreath on the front door that says, “Hello fall, we’ve been waiting for you.” The good news? You don’t need a whole craft room or an entire afternoon to make one that looks beautiful and festive. With just a few supplies and a little bit of creativity, you can have a custom fall wreath ready to hang before your pumpkin spice latte gets cold.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A simple twig wreath base
  • Faux fall leaves (reds, oranges, yellows—your favorite mix)
  • Autumn adornments: mini pumpkins, pinecones, acorns, or even a pretty plaid ribbon
  • A glue gun or floral wire

How to do it:

  1. Start with your twig wreath base. This is your blank canvas!
  2. Arrange your fall leaves around the wreath, tucking them in until you’re happy with the look.
  3. Use your glue gun or floral wire to secure the leaves. Don’t stress about perfection—nature isn’t perfect, and that’s what makes it beautiful.
  4. Add your extras: a cluster of pinecones, a bow off to the side, or a pop of pumpkins.
  5. Step back, admire your creation, and hang it on your front door.

And just like that—voilà! You’ve created something seasonal, warm, and welcoming in under an hour.

Sometimes the best seasonal décor isn’t about buying a finished piece; it’s about making something yourself. Not only is it budget-friendly, but every time you walk through your door, you’ll smile knowing you made it. And isn’t that the kind of joy we all need more of this season?
