Week 46: Bathrooms — Clean & Replace Bathroom Rugs; Organize Bathroom Supplies

Let’s face it — bathrooms work hard for us. This week, we’re giving them a little love with a simple refresh that makes a big difference.

🛁 Replace old bathroom rugs

If your bath mat is looking a little tired (or has that permanent damp vibe), it’s time for an upgrade. A fresh rug instantly brightens the room and makes it feel cleaner.

👉 Shop some of my favorite bathroom rugs.

🧼 Clean and wash floor mats

If your rugs are still in good shape, toss them in the wash for a reset. Add a little baking soda to the load for extra freshness!

👉 Here’s a gentle laundry detergent I love for keeping them soft and clean.

🧴 Wipe down shelves and organize bathroom supplies

Take five minutes to wipe down your shelves, sort through expired products, and restock your essentials. A clear countertop and tidy shelf can make mornings feel calmer.

A little life update 🌿

I’ve recently gone back to work after taking a year off for health reasons, and it’s been a big adjustment — in a good way. I’ve learned that keeping up with daily cleaning tasks makes such a difference. When I walk in the door to a clean, neat home, I feel like I can exhale.

Not every day is perfect — sometimes the laundry piles up or tomorrow’s salad doesn’t get made — but I remind myself that baby steps are still progress. Each small task adds up, and that’s really the heart of this challenge.
Speaking of simplifying… my recent Simplify Your Life post has been such a joy to share. This week’s challenge keeps that same energy going — and next week’s focus really ties in perfectly.

🌐 Coming up: Week 47 — Office

We’ll be simplifying our digital clutter:

  • Organizing computer files
  • Cleaning out email inboxes
  • Backing up important documents

It’s the digital side of decluttering — and a great way to finish October feeling lighter and more in control.

I truly love sharing what works for me, and I hope these weekly challenges help you find small ways to make your own home feel more peaceful and manageable. Thanks for being here, my cyber friends — your encouragement means the world. xoxo, Dana 💙
