Sweet & Spooky Snacks for Halloween

Halloween is all about costumes, candy, and of course… snacks that make people smile. Whether you’re hosting a party, bringing something to a potluck, or just want a spooky treat for the family, these easy recipes are guaranteed crowd-pleasers. The best part? You don’t need fancy ingredients or hours in the kitchen.

Here are five of my favorite fun Halloween snacks:

1. 👀 Monster Munch Popcorn Mix

A sweet-and-salty snack mix that looks like a little monster mischief hit the popcorn bowl.
Ingredients: popcorn, pretzel sticks, candy corn, Reese’s Pieces, mini marshmallows, melted white chocolate, candy eyeballs.

Tip: Serve in a big cauldron for the buffet table!

2. 🎃 Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups

Chocolate pudding topped with crushed Oreos, gummy pumpkins, and green coconut “grass.”

Tip: Add a little sign that says “Pick Your Own” to make it extra cute.

3. 🧻 Mummy Pretzel Rods

White chocolate–dipped pretzels drizzled with “bandages” and finished with candy eyeballs.

Tip: Stand them up in a clear cup so they look like mummies marching off the table.

4. 😱 Apple Monster Mouths

Apple slices filled with peanut butter or caramel, mini marshmallow “teeth,” and a strawberry “tongue.”

Tip: If you want to avoid browning, brush the apple slices with lemon juice before assembling.

5. 🧹 Witch’s Broomstick Snacks

Pretzel stick handles with string cheese “brooms,” fringed at the bottom and tied with a chive.

Tip: These also make a great savory balance to all the sweets.

Shop at Walmart for your Halloween party needs, including groceries. You can place your order online and see if it can either be delivered to your door or if you’re going to be out and about anyway, you can pick it up in the parking lot where a clerk will bring your order to your car and load it in your trunk! Wrap-up: Halloween snacks don’t have to be complicated to be cute, festive, and absolutely delicious. Whether you pick one or serve all five, you’ll have your guests reaching for “just one more” all night long. 👻

Hope these ideas are helpful! xoxo, Dana 🎃
