๐ Spiced Apple Simmering Potpourri
If youโve been apple picking lately (or just have a few extras rolling around your fruit bowl), hereโs a simple, cozy way to make your home smell like fall โ without lighting a single candle.
This spiced apple simmering potpourri is one of my favorite quick crafts because itโs as easy as it is wonderful. You can make it in minutes, and your whole house will smell like fresh apples, cinnamon, and happiness. ๐
Youโll Need:
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced (optional but adds a lovely brightness)
- 2โ3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2โ3 cups of water
To Make It:
- Combine everything in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat.
- Let it gently bubble away for 1โ2 hours, adding water as needed.
- Enjoy that cozy fall scent wafting through your home!
You can also toss the ingredients into a small slow cooker and leave it on โwarmโ for a safer, longer-lasting option โ perfect if youโre home all day or entertaining.
Quick Tip:
Once it cools, you can pour the mixture into a mason jar, refrigerate it, and reuse it once or twice by adding a bit more water. If you don’t have time to make your own simmering potpourri, you can find it at many retail stores.
