Dinner That Practically Makes Itself (Yes, Please) 🍗✨

If there’s one thing I love this time of year, it’s a dinner that doesn’t ask a lot of questions. Enter: my new Ninja Crispi® 3-in-1 Air Fryer Cooking System—aka the countertop helper that’s been quietly stealing the spotlight in my kitchen.

I’ve been testing it out on everything from leftovers to roasted veggies, but tonight’s winner is this garlic ginger chicken. It’s juicy, flavorful, golden on the outside, and honestly feels like something you planned… even if you didn’t.

Even better? The Ninja Crispi is available at Walmart, which makes it a great option if you’re looking for items that can be picked up locally or delivered quickly before Christmas. Walmart’s pickup and delivery options have saved me more than once this season—and this might be one of those why didn’t I buy this sooner moments.

Now let’s get to the recipe, because this one is weeknight-easy with weekend-worthy flavor.

Garlic Ginger Crispi Chicken (Ninja Style!)

Serves: 2–4
Prep Time: 10 minutes (plus marinating time)
Cook Time: 18–20 minutes
Ingredients
1.5–2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil (plus a little extra for brushing)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or 1 tsp sriracha for a little heat
Instructions
1. Make the marinade
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, vinegar or lime juice, honey, ginger, garlic, and optional heat.
2. Marinate the chicken
Add the chicken to a bowl or resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. (Two to four hours is even better, and overnight is chef-level planning.)
3. Preheat the Ninja Crispi
Set the Air Crisp function to 390°F and preheat while you get everything ready.
4. Crisp it up
Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fry basket. Lightly brush with olive oil for extra crispness.
Cook for 9–10 minutes, flip, then cook another 8–10 minutes, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
5. Serve and enjoy

Let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes, then serve with steamed rice, roasted broccoli, or wrapped in lettuce for a lighter option.

A Few Extra Kitchen Notes

  • Meal prep win: Double the batch and use leftovers for rice bowls, wraps, or salads.
  • Easy swaps: Chicken tenders or bone-in thighs work too—just adjust cooking time slightly.
  • Crisp tip: For larger batches, cook in two rounds so everything stays golden and crispy.

Thanks so much for stopping by and cooking along with me today. I love sharing recipes that are simple, flavorful, and actually doable—especially during a busy season. And when I find a kitchen tool that makes life easier and is easy to get your hands on before Christmas, I’m absolutely going to share it.

Whether you’re here for the food, the finds, or just a little cozy home inspiration, I’m so glad you’re here.
xoxo 💛
