Welcome back, friends! We’re rolling right along in our 52-Week Cleaning, Organizing, and Decluttering Challenge, and this week we’re stepping into the garage. Don’t worry—you don’t need to tackle the whole garage (that’s a big project for another day).

Instead, we’re focusing on something that will make a huge difference: your gardening tools and supplies.

This Week’s To-Do List:

✔ Organize your gardening tools and supplies
✔ Clean and sharpen any tools that need a little TLC
✔ Sweep and tidy up the workbench area

Why does this matter? Well, when your tools are in order, you’re more likely to use them—and less likely to buy duplicates because you can’t find what you need. (I see you, three extra trowels hiding in the corner. 👀) Plus, clean and maintained tools will last longer, which saves money and keeps your gardening projects stress-free.

Pro tip: Hang long-handled tools on hooks or a wall-mounted rack so they’re easy to grab and put away. Smaller tools can go in a bucket, bin, or even a repurposed tote. The goal is simple: everything has a home.

And don’t forget the workbench! A quick sweep, a wipe-down, and maybe a little rearranging can turn it back into a usable space rather than a “catch-all” zone.

Next week, we’re heading back inside to the kitchen to clean and organize dish towels. We’ll sort through what’s still in good shape, replace the threadbare ones, and fold everything neatly so your drawers don’t look like a textile tornado hit them. It’s a quick but satisfying project—trust me!
