Broccoli Salad is a family favorite. My aunts will make it and bring it to family get-togethers. My family will have it as a side dish. For example, tonight we had Broccoli Salad with home cooked cheeseburgers. It was a delicious and easy-to-make combination.

Broccoli Salad

Dressing:

1 cup mayo
3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
3 Tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper

Salad:

8 cups small broccoli florets
1 cup craisins
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sunflower seeds
6 strips bacon, cooked and diced
1/4 cup diced red onion

DIRECTIONS

1. Make the dressing by whisking all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Set aside.

2. Add the chopped broccoli to the dressing and stir to coat. Add the remaining salad ingredients and toss to coat well.

3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

*Tip: I used precooked bacon to speed up the process, works just fine. If you don’t have craisins or sunflower seeds, try using the premade salad toppers. (I used a dried blueberry and toasted walnut).
