Welcome to Week 28, friends! This week, we’re circling back to the home office—but don’t worry, we’re keeping things focused and totally do-able. This time, we’re giving your office furniture and electronics the deep clean they deserve.
If you’ve been following along (and I’m so thankful that you have!), you’ll know this is the fourth time we’ve tackled the office space. Why? Because it’s one of those places that gathers clutter and dust without us even noticing—and a clean workspace can truly boost your focus and creativity.
This Week’s Focus: Clean Office Furniture
Here’s what we’re tackling in Week 28:
- Wipe down all office furniture – Desks, shelves, filing cabinets, and chairs all need some love. Dust loves to hide on the undersides and corners!
- Vacuum or mop the office floor – If you have a rug or carpet, give it a thorough vacuuming. Don’t forget under the desk.
- Organize pens, paper, and office supplies – Toss dried-up pens, corral cords, and group similar items together.
- Deep clean electronics – Carefully clean screens, keyboards, and mouse surfaces. (Hint: I’ll share some of my favorite tools below.)
Dana’s Life Hacks & Expert Tips
1. Use a microfiber cloth with a gentle cleaner to wipe desks and bookshelves. Avoid overly wet wipes on wood surfaces—they can damage the finish.

2. Don’t forget the chair! Wipe down armrests, wheels, and even under the seat. For mesh or upholstered chairs, a vacuum with a brush attachment works wonders.
Vacuum with brush and crevice tools–for thorough dust removal. If your vacuum doesn’t have these tools, check for universal vacuum attachments such as this. 3. Create an “Office Essentials” drawer or bin for extra paper, tape, scissors, and pens. Label everything for ease in locating these items. These drawer organizers are lifesavers.

4. Clean electronics with care:
- Use compressed air to blow out dust from keyboards.
- A cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol works great for tight spaces.

5. Re-home what doesn’t belong. If your office is a drop-zone for random items, return those things to their rightful places before organizing anything else.
