Crafts: Re-use your yogurt jars

I love Oui yogurt. Have you tried it yet? It’s creamy, just the right size, and works perfectly for a light breakfast, quick lunch, or snack moment. I’ve tried both the dairy and non-dairy versions, and honestly, they each shine in their own way. For non-dairy, mango is my go-to. For dairy, I’m firmly Team Chocolate. No regrets.

But let’s talk about the real star of the show for a second: those adorable glass jars.

With everyone leaning into reusing and repurposing (gold star for the planet), tossing these little jars just feels wrong. So I did what any curious, organization-loving person would do—I went down a rabbit hole of ideas.

Turns out, there are so many clever ways to reuse Oui yogurt jars, especially when you add a lid.

How People Are Reusing Oui Yogurt Jars

Once you add a lid, these jars become endlessly useful. I’ve seen people use them for:

* Spices and homemade spice blends
* Loose-leaf tea
* Bath salts
* Small candies or treats
* Candles
* Moisturizers and beauty products

One idea I love—is filling a jar with hot chocolate mix. It’s just the right size for gifting, especially during the colder months.

Finding the Right Lids

There are lots of lid options out there, which is great because you can really tailor them to how you want to use your jars.

If you click on either of the lid options I’ve shared below, take a minute to browse around once you land on Amazon. You’ll find:

* Small sets and larger multipacks (12 and up)
* Bamboo lids (some engraved or burned with designs)
* Plastic lids
* Stainless steel lids

There’s truly something for every style and purpose.

The Cutest Little Sleeves

And then I found jar sleeves that slide right over the glass. They look a bit like macramé and are so charming.

They’re perfect if you’re gifting a jar or just want to make your pantry look extra cozy.

Using Oui Jars for Spices

If you like making your own spice blends, these jars are especially perfect.

I’ve written a full blog post about creating homemade spice blends and storing them in repurposed Oui yogurt jars—you can read it here:  https://livingwithdana.com/2024/06/crafts-spice-jars

Do You Save Your Oui Jars?

I’m curious—do you save your empty Oui yogurt jars? And if so, what do you use them for? Thanks so much for reading—and for being here. I hope this gave you a few new ideas (and maybe a reason to grab another yogurt 😉). Have a great day! xoxo, Dana
